Curious about where your favorite blogger works? Send us your ideas for Behind the Blog and we'll hunt them down for you, and beg them to share.
An online resource for people interested in great design. Better Living Through Design is brought to you by Katie and Kris and is a regular read for us at AT: Home Tech. Katie was kind enough to share her workspace with us and like the items featured on their site her office is a beautiful collection of quality pieces.
What's always found on your workspace?
My mac, scanner, drawing tablet, Settegiorni planner, phone, lamp and Timor calendar, sticky note pads.
Favorite thing about your workspace?
Lots of desk surface to spread notes out on, plenty of corkboard to pin images/notes to, and a window to look out of when I need to look at something other than a computer.
What do you hate about your workspace?
Probably that I tend to cover every surface with notes - and that I don't clean them up as often as I should.
What inspires you to blog? Is it reflected in your workspace?
Good modern design is inspiring, especially when it's affordable. I've bought several things that we've posted just because I love them so much. I think overall it's important to put your own stamp on a space by mixing things you've bought with other found items or gifts from friends, yet still making sure you can use it efficiently.

I love the space, it's well designed and looks like a wonderful and functional place to work in.
However,- and trust me I know this rant is just a pet peeve but - I am sick of those FOR LIKE EVER prints that seem to be everywhere since they reprinted them. I feel like I can't look at a picture of a office, living room, entry or bathroom anymore that doesn't have that same print in it. It's like a song that you initially like and then it seems to be played everywhere and it eventually wears on you so much your first reaction to hearing it is to want to turn it off.
There are just so many wonderful prints and silkscreen posters out there equally as nice, I just don't understand why everyone want the same one. If I see that print LIKE EVER again it will be way too soon.

I think I remember reading that she received that print as an anniversary gift. I think it's sweet.

Gravity's Rainbow:
I am looking for a nice print for my home office and was thinking of "For Like Ever" because I think it's fun, appealing, and funky.
But since that poster irks you so much, do you have any suggestions for me? Sometimes posters like these spread because people see it in a pic and think "that's cool!" Maybe if I see the prints you're speaking of I'll be interested in them too :).
