Eizo Mouse/Remote Control Combo: Ideal For Home Theater PCs

091508_eizo_01.jpgWhen you are setting up your home theater system, you will usually look for a way to integrate a PC into the console mix. It's not always easy and doesn't always look nice. However, there a loads of solutions on the market that will look pretty decent next to your hi-fi system. The next challenge is a way to control your media center PC. Mice look ghastly when they are on the coffee table, and some of the remotes, like the Philips Pronto series, will set you back a lot of money.

091508_eizo_02.jpgEnter the Eizo C@T-one. For about $120, you get an all-in-one solution to your dilemma. It's a mouse, a remote control and is compatible with most televisions, tuners and video recorders from Sharp, Sony and Panasonic, just to mention a few. The C@T-one ships with a 2.4 GHz wireless USB dongle and should solve your remote control problems once and for all. Sure it doesn't light up like a Christmas tree, but it gets the job done nicely.

All my other remotes are black, so this would stick out like a sore thumb. And my Japanese might not be good enough to use its buttons.
