We at Unplggd have been rather excited about the iPad, Apple's latest device. Although it has a name that we certainly would not have chosen, it does have a lot of potential. With Wi-Fi models shipping in about a month, and great cases being announced left and right, we have decided to roundup our ten favorite iPad cases.
With new cases being announced seemingly every day, this list is certainly not conclusive. Since the iPad is such a new product, many of these cases do not yet have pricing information and are only available for pre-order. Here are our ten favorites of the newly announced iPad cases.
And be sure to check out our updated list of additional best iPad cases and accessories below:

That's a bummer to hear new users who post informative links are called spam...

We believe the links are directly related to the post, so we're going to inch these across to the non-spam category.

The case I bought was this: http://store.apple.com/us/product/H0969ZM/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY . It makes me feel like the iPad might survive a short fall, but it's a magnet for dust and hair. If I wanted to bring my iPad into a meeting or something, I wouldn't use this case.
I don't know if this one is good or bad in practice, but it's a nifty idea (and name): http://www.dodocase.com/

Quirky's Cloak isn't going to make delivery, and the comments about the prototype aren't very promising.
Is there anyone whose actually bought one and likes it?

This thread sure is a Spam dump. Just because the subject of the post is iPad cases, doesn't mean all the links posted here aren't spam. Comment threads are intended to be user driven, allowing for trust in recommendations. These are all just thinly veiled advertisements.

The case at the top is by Happy Owl Studio. They've started accepting pre-orders and are shipping in June. I can't wait to get mine! I've been searching for the right case like a mad woman, and this is the best one I've found so far.

OK, I do want an ipad, does it have any type of program that I can use for writing papers for school?

I just bought the bubble version at iPad Cases, which is actually the only store that seems to sell that one. The leather ipad cases are ok but they aren't as nice as the ones made from USA based companies. The silicone ipad cases are pretty affordable if you need something simple.

Vers Audio makes great cases for the iPod, iPhone, and iPad. They are made of sustainable wood, and for every tree they use, they plant 100 of 'em.
Plus, they are sexy. Nothing like a nice, natural wood finish.

Oh, and their docks are so beautiful, and get incredible sound. I would compare it to a similarly priced Bose system.

As a follow up on the iPad Security Case. I purchased one two weeks ago and would highly recommend it. In addition to the combination lock it also has 3 viewing angles. The black leather case is also very nice. I like this one much better than the Apple version. I actually took off my Apple case and gave it to a friend.

The neoprene cases tend to be the best quality for the iPad. They don't scratch and they have padding to protect in drops. The leather look nice and are good protection, but they tend to scratch the screen. iLuv is the most popular but they are frequently sold out, check out amazon for iLuv or http://ProiPadCases.com has a good selection.

"The new Loopbag iPad case is great

That totally defeats the whole purpose of having a slim and compact device such as the iPad. In that case you may as well carry around a laptop.

I see no cases for the iPad. Also, as nice as the idea sounds who would want to add that kind of bulk to slim and compact Apple devices?
And I have to say it, but whoever designed that site is a perfect example of the annoying use of Flash!

My favorite case is Apple's own. It's not perfect but it is the slimmest, lightest, covering case available and the one that best maintains the whole point of using a device like the iPad, in the first place. The fit is also perfect.

We ordered ours the same day that we ordered our iPad. This will be our 5th case from Waterfield Designs.
The level of service from this small San Francisco-based company is superb.

The absolute best case with the most features is called the iPad Security case from newpcgadgets. Features include, black leather, combination lock, adjustable stand and built in microfiber cleaning cloth. I have had mine for a couple of weeks and would not consider any other.

First of all, the design is brilliant. I think what I like the best is that the display is so subtle, you always see ugly bright blinking lights when you are dealing with energy consumption or confusing meters that are lost in the basement. Very smart and chic, thanks for sharing! online fax

I just noticed! ipad has a keyboard is that a wireless? Or with a cable? phoenix closet design

The best overall case is Apple's very own. It is the only one that best preserves the slim and compact dimensions of the iPad. It also fits perfectly and looks really sharp and elegant.

I'm very happy with my Hard Candy Street Skin. It makes the already substantial iPad feel indestructible, with it's tire tread-like rubber padding and cover. I never worry about tossing it into my backpack. Plus the treads make it very easy to grip.

Sorry just made a mistake with the last comment. You can find a load of
iPad Cases at this article. Most are craft based cases and whilst they might not be as stylish as some of the ones you can buy - they are cheaper!

I'm weary of posting a link with all the spam accusations going on, but iSkin is a company that has been making skins for a variety of products for a few years now, including the Apple iPad.

I didn't see them mentioned already and thought they were worth knowing about.
