Roundup: Ghetto Blaster Nostalgia

090508_sz_boombox.jpg We're definitely in an era where hiding your gadgets (or at least camouflaging them into your décor) is the trend du jour, but there was a time when having the biggest and baddest boombox was the shit. Pocket Calculator Show has a few rad roundups of some of the coolest ghetto blasters of yesteryear, including Sharp's GF-777 which was most recently featured in some press photos for Madonna. I know the other one you must be thinking of. It had a little arm that pulled out of the bottom.

I remember sitting on the blacktop in elementary school listening to "Jam on It" on one of those.
