Roundup: IKEA PS Media Cabinet Spotting

102308_an_ikea_ps.jpgEven though the IKEA PS has been released just a little while ago, it's become one of IKEA's most popular pieces since the LACK shelf. We've yet to see a clever IKEA hack (probably because it's metal, duh), but the piece itself stands on its own for its aesthetically pleasing modern twist on a locker cabinet from grade school. Here's a roundup of a bunch of IKEA PS owners all over Flickr struttin' their stuff.

The top featured picture is from bitsandbobbins. Here, you'll find a mixture of clever posters, DWR furniture, and the lovely IKEA PS sitting in the living room corner.

102308_an_ikea_ps2.jpgThis one is from limonada, featuring a mix of mid-century modern with IKEA goodness.

102308_an_ikea_ps3.jpgYou may also recall Architect Philippe Harden's loft from AT a few months back. It, too, uses the IKEA PS to add a spark of fun to would-be oh-so-serious space.

102308_an_ikea_ps4.jpgThis one is from yardsale1. It's nice and room, but we think he's in need of a coffee table.

The PS cabinet be can had for $99 from IKEA (or the smaller, wall mountable computer station, PS Workstation version).

question, if you use it for media components, do you have to open it for remote control access?
