Here's a home technology we hope you never need, but is always good to have on hand. It's called the Pinqy, and it's an accessible, compact way to keep an important safety tool around. It's a mere 5.5" inches tall, yet packs the same punch as a "regular" fire extinguisher; its petite size allows it to be handled by those who can't usually handle the weight of a larger extinguishers, like the elderly and children.
Unfortunately for us here in the states, this smartly-designed, attractive fire extinguisher isn't available here yet. If you're in Europe, you can pick up a Pinqy for about $60US.
