Yeah, yeah, we know...it's a total As Seen on TV gadget, but this infrared wireless alert system isn't a half bad low cost security idea, since there's no need for any wiring or hard to manage system. If we had a long driveway or far off entryway, this would be a good way to be notified in advance to a knock on the door (or uninvited intrusion)...

Three C-cell batteries power the infrared motion detection Driveway Patrol system, which works with a 400-foot range.
