Sound/Chair: The Only Chair You Can Hear
The end result of designer Matthew Plummer Fernandez's work, Souns/Chair, is a chair that carries the inherited aesthetic of sound and also the only chair that can actually be heard as a sound.
Prototypes of the Sound/Chair were exhibited in Milan in 2007, and the final product was launched at the London Design Festival in September and will be on Sale at Selfridges in the UK in September 2008 at £3950.
It doesn't look super-comfortable with all of those sound spikes, but it's certainly unique and a conversation starter.
