In-A-Minute Household Tech Protectors

041009_tf_ipodsock.jpgGeekSugar comes to the rescue of frantic chicken-with-its-head-cut-off busybodies everywhere with a tip to store your laptop in a pillowcase before you jet out of the house to prevent scratches. While a pillowcase isn't exactly going to give you good protection against bumps and bruises, it is a quick fix against surface damage if you've got to grab-and go. A few more household tech protection tips we've heard about under the jump...

  • Use a (hopefully clean) sock to store your digital camera, phone or MP3 player. Keeps scratches and dust at bay.
  • Store your iPod or iPod Nano in an athletic wristband. If you get attached to this solution, sew one open end shut.
  • Pop your small cell or music device into a clamshell eyeglass case. It'll protect from scratches and keep your gadgets from breaking easily.
  • Hang your digital camera strap through one of the bottom holes of a flat-pack Neoprene beer coozie when you're dangling it from your wrist to have easy point-and-shoot access while still protecting against bumps.
