The Tiny Office: Trunk Station AD

unplggd_sl_8trunk-sho.jpgWe never thought we'd willingly want to work within something remotely looking like a cubicle, but this Trunk Station from Japan has convinced us otherwise...

unplggd_sl_8trunk-sho2.jpgThe W 906mm x D 615mm H x 1190mm sized melamine resin trunk opens to reveal an efficient work space, complete with pre-drilled holes for electrical and component wires/cables, a fold out desk, and plenty of shelving for a whole lot of extras (including some add-on units). Available in black, red, white and maple exterior finishes. Such a cool little work space comes at a price though: $1,856 converted from yen, and that doesn't even include the shipping...

That is really neat! What a great way to store an office. We sure could use something like that to make over my hubby's office (which is in the finals for a Messy Office contest by the way).

Very cute..I am sure someone crafty can put this together with some ikea bookshelves, a few set of casters and some paint--that is a high price tag

this can totally be built for probably a third of the price. the box i was looking at having built was about 58" tall and 24" wide and 24" deep and that was only going to cost me $600 and would have been more durable and have better hardware than this little thing.

The trunk design is a little gimmicky, but I could see something like it as a solution for people with space challenges.
