Looks like everyone is now in the game of offering aesthetically designed storage and charging stations for tech items, including West Elm. We're not really sure we need a dock to sit ontop of our already crowded desktop, but if you did need one, this fairly affordable lacquered tech landing station available in "white", "mushroom" or "espresso" might be worth considering at $49.

I really don't understand the need for all these charging stations that people keep manufacturing. It all seems like more clutter.

What is with AT's obsession with docking/charging stations? Every day, there seems to be 2-3 being shown. Really? Is there really that big of a pull on charging your iPod? I don't get it. I do just fine with my little white cord that I received with my iPod.

I think these are practical if you have more than 2 things to charge...ipod, phone, camera...because it hides the wires and powerstrip (again necessary for more than 2 items) and gives you a place to store accessories...headphones, batteries, memory cards, instructions, etc. Plus, it keeps the cords from falling off/behind the table top.

For those that have a hard time understanding other peoples needs:
- Ipod
- BT Headset
- Phoner
- Camera
- PSP
and no -the iphone is not the answer until it has a DSLR built into it with a spot for memory stick duos to show pics on (PSP)
