We've covered how to organize cables, hide cables, and cut cables, but what about storing them? A Lifehacker reader passed along a great tip for storing cables and reusing an annoying byproduct of technology consumption, the CD spindle.

Hello cord organizer!
Step 1: screw spindle base onto underside of desk.
Step 2: cut appropriately sized holes in spindle cover.
Step 3: coil 'em up and screw it on.
Brilliant! No chance of shorting things out with metal baskets.
