We are not really feeling the polished brass frame, but we do appreciate the detail and creativity behind retrofitting old typewrtiter keys into a 1980's IBM model M keyboard. Wonder what it would be like to type on this thing?

Techmage,
If I'm not mistaken, this is a custom job by the steampunk workshop and you can order your own from them (I think). I think he also posted a "how-to" if you feel up to it. I wish I had the time, money and machinery to make my own, it would look lovely on my 1890s desk.

I want one, too. But it looks like $800-$1000 is the going price. Staying on my wishlist, though!

I doubt it has the same resistance feel but when my dad let me play with his underwood as a child the keyboard had the most satisfying feel . You had to push them down further and they sprung back at you and it was very nice to use.
Steampunk wouldn't match my stuff but i'd love a keyboard modded into an actual typewriter... hmmm.
