If you like retro but not the cotton-candy colors, Timex also does (or did) a vintage-style clock radio that's only silver-colored -- it looks kind of like one of those Airstream travel-trailers. It's similarly in the ~$15 range, if it's still around. (We got ours a couple years ago at Long's.)
