Magnetosphere iTunes Visualizer

2007_05_07 magnetosphere.jpg

iTunes visualizations on steroids. We have never really been big on visualizations, but for those of you who are looking for something different, Magnetosphere has some pretty intricate looking visuals. What makes these more interesting than the standard iTunes visualizations is the responsiveness to the music. These visuals hit crisply with the percussion, and if you want to adjust the sensitivity to the music you can do that as well. Check out a sample video here

That thing is awesome!
Downloaded it this weekend and tested... so far so good. The best settings are the default ones. You can get crazy pressing A and S to add or substract particles.
the software is based on "processing" a kick ass graphic rendering tool application that i have seen in the past. This one it's a must have.
It's seems to rotate between a pixel based version and a more vectorish every 2 songs. (you can stop it from cycling pressing "C") I like the vector one better but you can't complaint. Really neat indeed.

I like it, and I'm not a fan of the visualizations either. What great ambient art for your computer while playing some tunes at a party.
