Music Mug

2007_03_23 music mug.jpgCannot be used for drinking. We think it is funny that the Music Mug carries a disclaimer like that, but can't help but wonder what it sounds like. Consisting of a built in speaker and a standard earphone jack, you simply plug in your mp3 player and drop it into the mug while power is provided by the mp3 players battery. Maybe we are skeptical, but something like the Altec Lansing dock seems like it would provide better sound, but the Music Mug is definitely one of the more unique looking docks out there, not to mention that you are not tied to an iPod to use it.

- available for $42 from the MoMA store

I assumed this would be used for an in-car application, like putting the cup in a cup holder, if not it seems like a very odd shape. Also, any one else have to register to comment now?

Woodt3. New comments are now turned on, but it's strange that your comment is not registering a number at the bottom of the post!?! We'll try and fix that.
