Nomad Traveler Speaker Has Us Tripping

092308_tf_nomad_m.jpgThis speaker takes a super-charged name not usually associated with techies. A Nomad is one who lives a life that is carefree and sporadic and void of a consistent home space, not really applicable to the kinds of people who worship their desktop setups and media rooms. But if you are the rare tech nomad, check this out. Or, you know, if you just love the look of this faux-vintage speaker like us.

092308_tf_nomad_01.jpg092308_tf_nomad_02.jpgAvailable online from Urban Outfitters, this portable speaker is inspired by vintage luggage and based on a 1930s design. The sturdy wood cabinet is dressed in classic tweed vinyl.

An Aux Input is ready for your iPod/MP3 player, laptop or—how retro chic—turntable. The included adapter allows you to conveniently select between wall power and AA batteries.

It also features a telescopic antenna; airplane dial tuner display, on/off/volume knob and tuning knob at the front; electronically assisted tuner; and AM/FM/Aux Input select switch at the back.
