While flipping through the March issue of Sunset magazine, I came across the now controversial idea house. While this house was notable for the many green (yet expensive) elements, unique wood walls and different Heath Ceramics tiles, what caught my eye was the copper colored metal speakers mounted on the walls near the ceiling. It wasn't mentioned in the article, but it looks like I found them, or something that looks exactly like them.
Orb Audio moves from a box to a sphere and does it with high end materials at a price that rivals the usual suspects in the audio biz. If the sound of these are anywhere near the level of craftmanship that is evident in the case then these are definitely worth a listen.

You can also find speakers like these from Anthony Gallo Acoustics www.roundsound.com
I have a stainless steel set, the sound and looks can't be beat.

I have a set of Orbs for my home theatre, and I love them! I first heard of them on online audio forums and they seem to get great reviews. They have an online-only business model and their customer service is top-notch, anyone looking into spending a few thousand something like a Bose system should consider Orbs beforehand. You can read much more about their philosophy on their site, and feel free to email them if you have questions. They answered my all my questions in detail which made my decision to purchase very easy. I, of course, have no affiliation with the company, just a happy customer here.
