Sonance Kayak Speakers

2008_08_21 Sonance_Kayak.jpg What looks kind of like a double end boxing bag suspended in the living room is actually a single speaker surround sound. When we have talked about single speaker surround sound before, it was actually a lot of mini speakers hidden in a case that looked like a single speaker. The Sonance Kayak speaker is a little bit different.

The two cone ends actual contain a cluster of speakers with the grey diamond positioned in the middle to reflect the sound. This gives the option of mounting vertically or horizontally while taking up a minimal amount of space. Good looking speakers attached to a designer name (Ron Arad) don't come cheap though. $2900 will get you one of these in a choice of 14 different finishes.
