Not a revolution in speakers, but Sony Ericsson's Bluetooth speakers for their line of phones is promising. The tiny speaker is battery powered and can go where you go.

Sony's site only talks about using the speaker with phones, but we wonder if it would work with your desktop computer. We found some for sale from various online retailers for $60-70, but no one seems to have it in stock, yet.
