Yorozu: Turn Any Surface Into Speakers

121608_rg_yorozu_01.jpgThere you are, trying to share some tunes on your iPod, but no one has got a handy dock or speakers. What are you going to do? Sure, you could just pass the headphones along, but if there are a few people, that doesn't really work. Thankfully, Japan has the answer to your quandary! This little gizmo allows you to turn any surface into a speaker. Now that's pretty cool!

121608_rg_yorozu_02.jpgThis device comes fresh from the streets of Japan. The Yorozu Audio Sound Revolution lets you transform just about anything into a speaker. Sounds pretty cool now, doesn't it? All you have to do is mount the Yorozu's vibrating module anywhere you want to and it will turn that surface into a conductive sound system. The kit includes a Japanese cardboard milk carton that you can use, but pretty much any piece of cardboard, plastic, window, water bottle or white board will work fine. The speaker's 1-watt amplifier won't blow out your ears, but it's something cool to have if you ever need it.

121608_rg_yorozu_03.jpgWe think that this is a great little Christmas present idea and it's available from the Japanese Trend Shop for $89. That's a bit much for our taste, but that's the price you pay for getting things before anyone else. We are sure that they'll be available for $15 in the near future. [via TechnaBob]

This is so stupid. Emergency speakers? How often does anyone need emergency speakers?

Well, when I travel back home every so often it would be nice to have some quick and easy portable speakers...
