While the general philosophy used to be "bigger is better," Sony seems to think other wise with their new line of micro speakers set to be available for the masses next month. The strawberry-sized 5.1 HT-IS100 Bravia Theatre system features a huge subwoofer, 4 tiny satellite speakers, and enough inputs to make any audiophile a happy camper (HDMI, support up to 8 channels uncompressed audio, and tons of extra expandability for future Sony add-ons).
