apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Question: What do you do with your old product boxes?

Apple products are known for their innovative packaging design which is what compels me to save them. But electronic boxes are also handy to have if you ever move or sell your electronics - but in the meantime, they just take up space!

If I have the space (which my current apartment doesn't), I generally keep them because they're simply the best box for moving the item they were purchased in ... styrofoam and everything.

But I'll have to make do with carrying by hand for my next move as I've long since recycled mine.

my rule of thumb is to keep the box of the big things that may have to be shipped for warranty maintenance.

but after that time is up, i break them down to gather things for donation, or i recycle them.

If I'm not moving anytime soon, I only keep them a year or so because of the warranty before getting rid of them.
