Survey: Could Wii Fit Replace Going to the Gym?

2008_04_29 wii_fit.jpgIt appears that Wii Fit is selling like hotcakes in Europe, selling out in 24 hours on Amazon.co.uk. With gaming consoles and the Wii in particular making its way into more and more living rooms could you see the Wii fit replacing that Tony Little Gazelle as a more compact piece of living room equipment?

I would say that the Gym was already a step removed from "real" excercise anyway, why not go the extra mile (or not go anywhere, as the case may be)? And yes, the tank top is cool.

The model kind of looks like Daniel Craig's older, not as 007-ready looking brother.

The general consensus based on some of the "reviews" of imported Wii Fits that I've read is that it will make you more aware of your overall fitness level. It may even help you get started down the road to getting more fit. But, it isn't a replacement for a proper exercise regiment nor is it meant to be.

Having said that, I've already pre-ordered mine from Amazon.com. Can't wait for it to come out!
