After taking a look at Jennifer Perkin's featured studio on Curbly, we were blown away at the behemoth-sized inspiration board behind her computer monitor. Though some may consider this a messy way of organizing ideas, but to others, it's a necessity to have pictures of the things you love help get you through the day. Well, what do you guys think?

That's too much clutter for me. I need only a picture of my family to inspire me.

I think it depends on your personality. I just keep a photo of my family like stickyricemama does, and even clear my desk off every day to keep it clutter free. But I think some thrive on a lot of input.

Jennifer Perkins' desktop board might be a bit much for most folks, but I can completely understand it -- if I had a place of my own, I'd probably have something similar in my workspace, though definitely with more drawings (and paintings and sketches) than photos.
It's all up to personal taste. As Ben said, some folks thrive on input, and Jennifer is definitely one of them. I think a lot of artists are those kinds of people.
And now I will wander off with a sigh, dreaming of the day I can do something like Jennifer is doing for a living instead of just a hobby.

i think it is great to have a board that's under control. i hate when the examples on here show a crappy scenario. that's super over-cluttered.

It really depends on the project. I usually keep multiple boards with different things on it. Depending on my mood I'll switch it out. Though I do have a file full of stuff for instant inspiration.
