Is there really that much difference between digital audio and video cables to justify a price difference of over 30 times? Take HDMI cables as an example. On one hand you can find a brand name cable for $219 versus a no name cable for $7. So that brings us to this question, do you shell out or cheap out?

I wouldn't say MonoPrice is no name. Best Buy just seems to believe that a 500% markup on accessories is a good idea and with them selling like hotcakes, they have good reason to. I buy all my cables from MonoPrice. Don't buy into the hype, get high quality cables without paying for the huge marketing budgets of these other cable manufacturers.
I don't remember where I first learned about MonoPrice, but it was one of the best days of my electronic life. (Or something like that.) A couple of months ago I bought a receiver and plasma TV both with HDMI connections. If I hadn't heard about MonoPrice I would have been one of those people pillaged by BestBuy having to buy multiple cables. I'm extremely happy with my $7 HDMI cables!
