I just saw that Amazon and Tivo are working together to allow Tivo users to buy and download movies and tv episodes straight from the computer to their Tivo. Anybody tried this yet? It's not available for Mac, so I have to wait. Maybe they are working out the bugs on the pcs. It sounds great, but how well does it work?

Other: The library.

La biblioteca.

The only one who has time for movies around here is my 3 year old, and our library has enough Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, and PeeWee's Playhouse to last us forever, plus we always grab more books than movies while we're there.

I always check the grown-up movies while I'm there and occasionally find something good, but it's better that I'm not often tempted.

Can't beat the price!

I'd like to add Libray and all of the above. Yes and Tivo/amazon. oh and netflix at your computer.
The netflix online/tivo would be my ultimate, i wonder if i can make them play nicely together on the network?

INTELLIFLIX is the best.
Games, movies and pron all for one low price.
I paid in advance for a whole year of "3-out-at-a-time".
No hassles at all.

Justin, saying pron makes the Baby Electric Jesus cry at 1.5MBps. Using a 0 for the o would bump it up to FiOS speeds.

I prefer Netflix + SugarDVD myself.

I'm a netflix gal myself, but I do make the occasional trip to BB with friends for those "impromptu" movie nights.

There isn't a library closer or with the operating hours that BB has, which is why I don't make use of it much.

Library and netflix. You can't beat the selection and convenience at netflix.

The library, it's free, and what I save goes into my house renovation fund (and it turns out I'm usually seeing new movies on video quicker, from the library, than my friends are through the rental places you mention).

We tried the Tivo/Amazon thing this weekend, because by signing up, we got $15 in free credit. They don't have a lot of new releases to download to rent, but you can download them to buy. Anyway, I'm not that impressed because it took a few hours to download. I mean, if we'd known, we could have started it that afternoon and had it for the evening, but it turned out, we had no movie to watch that night because it took so long. Though I am sure that it will eventually download quicker.

PS normally, I use Netflix.
