Why isn't there an option for 8 ? In my RSS reader I have 26 blogs, though not all of them are daily blogs. I don't even remember the webaddresses of most of them!
PS - Mac people, Newsfire is an awesome, awesome reader.

the max option is 8? I feel like a total geek to admit that I have 100 or so in my reader (and that is after a cleaning-out earlier this week).

Some I read daily, some maybe once a week. I used to check more design blogs, but sooner or later anything worth noticing, appear in most.

Hey folks, sorry about that, didn't code it properly when building the survey so the " " disappeared when I published it. Fixed it with words.

I have dozens - some that I check daily, others just when I'm bored every few weeks. I keep track of them all in Google Reader, which is always open in a Firefox tab next to Gmail. Moving from the click-bookmark-and-check-for-new-stuff to RSS reader way of reading blogs is probably the single biggest productivity helper I've done on my computer lately. Some of my other favorite tech blogs are gizmodo.com, lifehacker.com, blackrimglasses.com, and bornrich.org (for when I need a good laugh).

I read so many, I'd never be able to keep track of them without RSS. I probably hit 50 different blogs a day on a variety of different topics.

Too, too many!
I currently have 23 on my Google Reader, and that relatively small number is through constant reassessment and paring down (yes, another thing to declutter). Plus, there are other sites with many daily posts that I check directly on their websites rather than getting the feed, because I'd rather just look at the site - AT, Lifehacker, Lifehack. I used to regularly read tech sites Gizmodo (funny posts) and sometimes Engadget, but once I took them off the RSS, not so much. I do have a couple tech sites/blogs on my RSS - Pogue's blog, community.livejournal.com/gmail, GoogleBlog, TechnoratiWeblog (still assessing that one), GoogleDocsSpreadsheet.
I don't find RSS to be a productivity enhancer - au contraire -I'm constantly tempted to add more and more to it and it's hard to keep up!
