Cell phone, laptop, ipod, and their chargers. Sometimes the digital camera...but I honestly can't think of anything else I would ever bring...

Whoops, meant to answer 6: notebook computer; blackberry; 2 iPods (video for long-distance travel and hotel room; nano for gym and work); folding iPod dock; digital camera. All the cords and peripherals are stored in a small dopp kit.

i don't own a cell phone or an ipod, and STILL i chose "6 or more" since even the peripherals, to me, are gadgets. my computer and camera gear is insane. dslr gear (camera body, lenses, filters, charger, batteries, cards, tripod) and computer gear (laptop, external drive, usb everything, mouse, card reader)

i find myself hating travelling because i'm such a schlepper. i'd love to go somewhere and only bring...some smokes and my debit card!

Cell phone, digital camera and video ipod. I can't travel without the video ipod anymore, it makes the waiting-to-board time so much more tolerable.

cell phone, ipod, digital camera...and really i keep the cell phone off. it's just there so i can call whoever's picking me up that i've arrived.

heheh, one eye speaks the truth. i'm broke. last time i went anywhere it was because my job paid for it. and still i schlepped all my gear.

One phone each, and we try (but do not always succeed at) making the sacrifice of sharing a laptop. That's it. But I'm a serious non-schlepper: it bugs me to carry more than a backpack and a computer case.

Phone, mp3 player. Maybe a flash drive as well.

yeah, I agree one-eye wins for best answer on this thread, but the question whether the various chargers for the various devices are counted as part of the device or separately is interesting. For me, I would count the charger as part of the device. Three in my case: cellphone (and charger); iPod (and charger); and iPod speakers (and plug).

Mobile phone, laptop, dSLR lenses & tripod, external HDD to back up photos, iPod ... and of courses all associated chargers, cables, etc.

Travel? You mean when I go everywhere everyday? I carry my cell, of course, digital camera, iPod, and most recently, my iPaq, an old PDA on which I keep my calendar with me (a precursor to HP's buyout of Compaq). Usually I also have my laptop. The PDA saves me from not being able to access my calendar when I can't get a wireless connection/get on my work's network, or when it would just take for-ev-er to do so.

As far as leaving home or work, I take my cell charger, computer power cord, and other cords depend on the length of trip/how I'm traveling.

It's rare that my DH and I travel without our laptops, which my mother finds baffling, but all she uses the computer for is email, so she can just hop on my dad's...interesting generational commentary.

Work travel: Laptop, ipod, phone, and electric toothbrush.

Personal travel: ipod, digital camera and phone (But only for outgoing calls. One of the greatest things about vacation is not having to check email or answer the phone!) and of course the electric toothbrush.

Whoops, checked the wrong box. I checked 2, should have been 3 - forgot the camera, which I don't always carry. The other 2 are with me 98% of the time, vacation or not:
