apartment therapy changing the world, one room at a time

Survey: Where Does Your Office Need Help?

2007-04-22-officehelp.jpg

Our current contest has gotten us wondering, what do you hate about your home office? For us, we don't quite have the ergonomics right, we'd like a new chair. But we were curious, what needs help in your office? Feel free to share your woes in the comments.

Ahh new chair, desk.. don't we all want alot of things. :) Right now I'm trying to figure out a nice set up for me and the BF. Two desks, two computers lined up on a wall of an open kitchen/dining room/living room combo "space". 1 BR 500SQ ft apartment. Once I figure that perfect set up I can start buying the nice "office" things I've wanted but put off.

Let's just say...I hate paper. Paper is what makes my workspace a mess! Paperless society? It has my vote!

None of the above. It's ergonomics for me as well. My desk is not quite right and my chair is way off. Otherwise, I love my office space.

Organization is a moving target. Ours is superficially tidy, but my ideal is that you walk into a room and everything is in the first place where you look for it -- which is also within easy reach of wherever you're standing or sitting when you want it -- and we're not quite there yet.

It would be great if Home Tech could do a feature on Home Offices or better, a series of features on different aspects, like equipment, organization (paperwork!), furniture and decor. I run my business out of my 1-bdrm apartment and would love new ideas.
