2008_06_12 3g iPhone.jpgNow that you have had a few days to think about it, are you sold or has it gotten old? All these people are either tired of their current iPhones or simply making space for the next one so it got us thinking.

How about a "still undecided" category?

i might get one if i can get work to foot part of the monthly for the data portion of it.

For anyone thinking how wonderful and great the new price of $199 is, they're scamming you. They are upping the data price by $10 a month. So that phone that now costs you $200 less then before, is going to end up costing you $240 more in the end. Odd steve didn't focus on that part in his presentation...

Plus, the price hike is probably to justify the use of 3G, however most people probably don't have access to the 3G part of the network, major cities, yes, everywhere else, no.

I do eventually plan to get a 3G iPhone, but not right away. I will see how long I can hold out before the lure of speedier data transfer wins out.

My current iPhone is, without a doubt, the best thing I have ever purchased or owned in my entire life. I held out until September, but I am so glad I succumbed.
I don't care how expensive it is, I am buying the new one as soon as I can. $10/month additional? Okay. It evens out. It is the only phone I have anyway.
(of course the Air comes in second, but still...)

I'm resisting the notion of any cell phone, let alone an iPhone with its pricey contract. In the not too distant future, I'll be the last person on the planet without a cell phone of any kind.

not until they figure out a way to activate it at home. i'm on att and have a current iphone, but really don't feel like signing up for another two years. i enjoy my unlocked/jailbroken phone as is.
not to mention an all plastic back instead of metal? and it's glossy so it picks up finger prints and scratches like mad!

Cheers

I want video ichat, for starters. It's not an impossible feature and it's clearly one of the things everyone had in mind for "the future" - portable video chat.

Other than that...I'm holding out because I don't like being that accessible. If I could get away being the other only person on earth without a cell phone, I would.

another undecided for me. I love my jailbroken phone, but would I love it that much more for the GPS and flush headphone jack? Doubting it. I wonder if the new one comes with a dock you can actually use for video out.
