What's In Your Mobility Setup?

042709_an_mobility.jpgAfter taking a look at messenger bags and backpacks, we're starting to think about our eventual switch over to a mobility computing setup (so we can work at cafe's and look good while doing it). Er.. or like business trips. Yeah.

So why go mobile? Well, back in the old days, when the only computer you could work on was a desktop PC, you were always confined to a small desk, in a chair that probably wasn't the most comfortable thing in the whole wide world.

These days, we have an expanding plethora of options when it comes to mobile computing, there's little reason to stay glued to one spot all day (unless you're forced to, of course). From the iPhones' billion applications in the iTunes store to the increasing number of hotspots anywhere we go, what was once a limited means to connect to the outside world is now readily available around every corner. Because of this, going mobile is easier than ever - what remains is picking and choosing the mobility setup that works best for you.

Here's what we got so far for our own mobility setup. Let us know what you think!

Now that you've heard our mobility setup, let us know what's in yours!

I work entirely out of my backpack, and am continuously moving around and often traveling by bus. So, I have a list that covers everything I need to get through a day, and no excess.

1-macbook pro
2-power cords
3-projector dongle
4-sound blocking headphones
5-ipod
6-cell phone
7-thumb drive
8-pen, pencil and small notepad
9-dakine laptop backpack
10-lunchbox coffee mug
11-usually a book to read
12-lip gloss
13-sunglasses
14-wallet and keys
15-a small, portable sack in case I pick up extra stuff on my travels

Forgot about the lip gloss. I got deodorant and floss in mine as well. Haha. :)

I used to use an external hard drive and wireless mouse as well but all it seemed to do was add dead weight after picking up the unibody Macbook.

The trackpad is absolutely HUGE and I have yet to fill up my 250GB hard drive (granted I use an airport extreme external disk for all my movies).

Inside my messenger bag:

Unibody 2.4 Macbook
iPhone 3G
Sony T700
B&O A8 Headphones
Mole skin notepad
