LAX Series Entertainment Shelf

We've seen the LAX storage solution before when we featured remote control storage, but did we mention they also have TV stands? Or well.. "entertainment shelves" are what the LAX folk call them. Well, it doesn't matter as long as it looks good - and you can never go wrong with mixing that white lacquer finish with warm woods.

The case is made of English Walnut with a natural oil finish, one door made of 1/8"-thick white powder-coated aluminum, no visible hardware, doors slide freely on grooved track, and the dimensions are 21" H x 58" W x 20" D. Available for $870 shipped.

I have been contemplating one of these for over a year. I have been looking any posting, anywhere that comments on the quality of them. Has anyone actually seen one?

What about cable management? The pass-through hole in the divider is obvious, but is that also a cable slot in the base on the right?

I wish rather than merely fluffing for every beautiful object that comes down the pike, design sites would take a moment to talk about function, too. It's not a "solution" unless we know it actually solves the problem.
