We love built in floating desks. They are the perfect way to get valuable workspace without the visual heaviness that comes with legs. You know what we like even more? Built in desks that both look good and are affordable. This ikea hacked creation certainly does both.
Three Effektiv storage cabinets with doors, three pairs of Lansa handles, and I'm guessing 3 Pronomen Beech countertops made up this desk. I particularly like the little shelf tucked in under the main worksurface. The perfect place to hide a printer or a desktop PC even.
If I did my math right, the Ikea website would put this combination in at around $405. Not cheap, but it sure looks like it is worth way more than that.
