Timetable Puts a Limit on Meeting Time

You know the feeling of being the only guy who's checking his watch and realizing that the "quick 30-minute meeting" has been going on for about an hour with no signs of stopping. That won't happen any longer if we get the Timetable into more offices...

Consider the Timetable as a business meeting egg timer on a conference-table-sized scale. Illuminated panels on the surface of the table keep everyone aware that time doesn't stop when you're in a meeting. This design was commissioned by advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy’s London office.

Dials let you set a meeting time, and as each tenth of the allotted time passes by, one of ten lit-up panels will shut off. When the last light goes off, the voice of God (or the table, we guess... but it's way more fun the other way) will call out to the meeting attendees that the meeting is over, even if your long-winded boss hasn't shut up yet.

Hey! It might even work in the dining room. The family dinner won't roll over time and make you miss a favorite show or trip to the movies—or, you know, you could just put an end to your in-laws yapping!

What a ridiculous waste of money. An egg timer in the middle of the table would do the same.
