"It's my heart's desire to see my daddy." I just couldn't help it, I love the 7-Up series! Also, that Offi table looks amazing, they raised the price on it to $169 though, which makes me second guess the purchase now.

personally, i like to get one of those ergonomic wrist things for your keyboard and prop the laptop on those . . . or if I'm in bed . . i'll get one of those trays with a pillow attached to the bottom . . .

Lifehacker just did a roundup of their top 10 DIY stands. I just added two wine corks today. Although someday I might make myself that ikea version. Still love it.

You know, I had a laptop many years ago that was really a piece of crap but the one thing it had that I loved and haven't found on another laptop were little foldable feet on the bottom in back so you could tilt it up. That should be standard on all laptops just to let the heat escape.

A pillow on my lap with the computer on top (while I'm reclining on the sofa) works for me. I just can't be bothered with anything else.

Thanks milom--I couldn't figure out why the image on the first laptop pic was so familiar! (huge fan of the 7-up series too!)
I like the beanbag type lapdesk myself:
