i recommend The Sony DSC W50. I have a couple nikons that are good, but my sister and mother both have this camera. I'm a big tech guy and tested it against about 5 other camera it was great. I took it to New York with me and it did great.

Low light shots were good, battery life was great, and it's crazy fast. Startup time is really good and shot to shot was good. You can get the W55 frmo dell for $150 which is the next model up and a megapixel better.

i plan on getting the same camera just a few models better around christmas time.
