Geneva Sound System L & XL (for iPod)

2007-02-28genevaselection.jpg
Make a design statement both in sight and sound with the Geneva Labs iPod Sound System.

Both the Model L and Model XL come in lacquered white, black, and red, and can be mounted on a stand or soley seated on the floor or a sturdy shelf.

2007-02-27genevaredbig.jpgThe Model L nets you 100 watts and the ability to play your iPod, CDs and the Radio, all controllable with the remote. The speaker also connects to other MP3 players, vinyl, TV or any audio with using the enclosed audio and line-in (RCA) cables.

The Model XL (shown on the right) gives you 300 watts of power that run to a pair of tweeters, mid-range speakers and subs; all of the same components on the L are available on the XL.

Read more about the Geneva Sound System on their website, where they've complied reviews from Wired, Vanity Fair and more.

I'd love to hear 'White Christmas' as performed by exotica vibes player, Arthur Lyman, from his holiday album, 'With A Christmas Vibe.' And of course, that would be on a white Geneva Sound System. Fingers crossed!

Make mine sleek black! And let's hear some of that sweet Bing Crosby "Rudolph" ditty to get us in the mood.

A red one would be great for listening to "It's Christmas at Ground Zero"

I'd like to hear Paul McCartney's "Ever Present Past," a Best of 2007 pick by NPR Music guru Bob Boilen. And let's make the Geneva Sound System white like winter. In fact, here's a short haiku for the season:

let's all connect with
home tech for the holidays,
"wired" like lights on trees

"Sister Winter" by Sufjan Stevens is my newest holiday jam (with "Star of Wonder" also by Mr. Stevens coming in a close second). The black would look fantastic under the tree this year.

I just purchased a Geneva L Model (black) from Hipster Home and I have to say, I am more than please and the sound quality is superior. I tested all the different models and when I finally decided to take the plunge it with the Geneva, I wasn't sure at first (maybe some buyers nerves). But now I can't believe it took me so long. My wife (the biggest sceptic) is even in love with the system. When our friends come over she is the first to show off the Geneva (I get left in the dust). If you're thinking about a purchase, then do your homework and you'll see how much better this system is compared to the other brands. Also, pick a reputable dealer so you'll have a good line of recourse in the case of any problems. Our experience has been awesome. Highly recommend.
