iHome Gets The HiFi Treatment, Loses The Shell

050709_an_iHome_iP1.jpgIn the good spirit of consumer products embracing the high-end audio world, we now have an iHome that's catered distinctly towards audiophiles and industrial design lovers alike. The iHome iP1 is purposely tinted in a vintage-like "smoke" acrylic, giving you a wonder machine that strikes a perfect balance between aesthetics and HiFi practicality. More juicy details below the jump.

050709_an_iHome_iP12.jpgThe new iHome iP1 features a "100 watt class D biamplified architecture with Bongiovi sound processing through twin 4-inch woofers and matched 1-inch dome tweeters." You also get GSM shielding for iPhone use and video-out for outputting to a TV screen. What's lacking, however, are the radio and alarm features found on most iHome units.

We're expected to see the Studio Series iP1 will go on sale in July for $300.
