MintPass' Cube Music Player: Made For Men

120309_rg_MintCube_01.jpgThere is something quite interesting about this music player, which features some neat analog displays and was, apparently, designed exclusively for men. MintPass is quickly becoming a source of great new and interesting products. Curious? Read on to find out more.

120309_rg_MintCube_02.jpgAfter having wowed us with the Progress Bar Clock and the Pendulum Radio, Mintpass is back with another strikingly designed product. It's a simple music player, but that looks pretty amazing since it uses some analog technology, something that most devices like that eschew. There are some neat buttons and analog dials all over this little thing called the Cube.

120309_rg_MintCube_03.jpgThe Cube measures 2" on each side, so it's pretty small. The functions are all controlled via some cassette tape-like buttons, which is kind of cool. We're all for progress, but we hate using the controls on our music players. This just makes it intuitive again, instead of having to scroll through menus. The dials represent the volume, the battery charge, as well as a radio frequency indicator on the side. It also comes with Bluetooth. There is no word on storage capacity, price, nor release date, but we think that this is something pretty interesting, that sets it apart from most digital music players.

why is this made for men?

Apparently women always show off their elegant geek toys but men actually put them in pockets? So now men get a geek toy for the man purses? I'm so confused. I read it like 3 times (on the site, it tries to explain why this is boys only) but it just made me want more booze.

@ geekgirl

Because no woman would be stupid enough to waste money on this clunky junk? Most would spend it on shoes.

@loudlyquiet

If some guy manages to carry this around in his "man purse", I think he should be finding the nearest emergency ward...A.S.A.P..

I can definitely see how acquiring a penis would help me appreciate this music player more...

WTF?

Despite possessing the wrong genitalia, I think the integration of analog dials is clever.
