Hey Mr. DJ, put a record on. If you have albums you want to be able to integrate with the rest of your music--without having to buy digital files of everything-- this is the tool that you need to be able to do so: Ion Audio's iTTUSB.
The iTTUSB uses a USB connection to hook to your computer, and includes a built-in pre-amp, no drivers to load, high-speed conversion ability, and Audacity software that is both PC and Mac friendly. It also includes line-level outputs that make connecting the turntable to your home stereo system easy.
One other feature that might sell you on this purchase: you can use it to convert cassette tapes by connecting a tape player into the iTTUSB and using it as the conversion point to get the cassette tapes turned into MP3s.
The iTTUSB is available from Amazon.com for $158.99.
for my parents' wedding anniversary this year, i had been considering the idea of transfering some of their favorite LPs to mp3s, but thought the cost might be prohibitive. guess not! thanks so much for the tip!
now all i need is something like this for old home videos...! :)
