Are cassette tapes retro already? That can make a girl feel kind of old. Whether you think it's retro or not, the Wallet MP3 is certainly pretty darn cool. It's tiny, about the size and width of a credit card, and packs a punch at 4GB. We'd load it up with New Kids on the Block tunes while we're on our way to the concert. How's that for retro?
The slim, credit-card sized MP3 player and flash storage device won the Goren Art College design contest. It is tiny and lightweight, yet durable (water-proof, sand-proof, high-temperature tolerant and basically beach-ready).
Its double-sided USB connector lets you upload and download songs, charge the battery and listen to the music via the included headphones. The Wallet MP3 can hold up to 4GB of songs and other files. Compatible with Win XP, Win2000, Windows ME, Linux 2.4 and above, and MAC OS 9.0 & higher.
I can top that. Check out this Cassette MP3 Player, which is not only a self-contained MP3 player, but can also be played in any tape deck. Requires an additional SD card, and who knows what software it runs on -- but probably an awesome deal at $22.
