Neiman Marcus and Interactive Media Walls

2007_10_09 virtual wall.jpgCould you really use one of these in your house? Neiman Marcus seems to think so and is offering up this $100,000 8 foot by 3 foot multi touch screen.

The funny thing is that they list the benefits of having this screen as being "no longer chained to cumbersome physical input devices". While in reality this 8 foot screen is now your cumbersome input device.

Instead of flipping through things while lounging on the couch with a remote or gyroscopic mouse you will have to stand. We think we'll stick with the iPod touch to get our fill of cool touch interaction.

Ah, but NM's Christmas Book is required to have at least one item that's primarily a publicity stunt. Apparently tech is Hott, if NM has moved from gold-plated Rolls Royces to media walls.
