It was a sad time in Kate's household this mourning...we mean, morning...we captured it on video tape, and posted above (ok, not really, but we thought this described our feelings).
You see, the Insignia wonder TV is moving on to its new home. And Kate has to go back to this sad TV. But she has a few final thoughts about the Insignia to share with ATers...read on...
Oh, Insignia, how nice and big you were
You made things so clear and not a blur
How sad we are to see you--and your friend, HD Cable--go
What a gift you were, and on Geode we get to bestow
You'll find a new home in CA where you'll swivel
And so, for the sake of AT love, we'll be civil
Oh, Insignia, how reasonably priced for the average Joe you are
We'll save our money and hope we don't have to spend it instead on repairing our car
Thinking of the heat you gave off
We'll remember you and scoff
To try and dull the pain of your absence
Oh, Insignia, so nice to have made your acquaintance.
i am so glad that my boyfriend wasn't home when i pressed play on that video. if he had been, and he'd heard that tantrum, he would never want kids! my volume was on max. it hurt my ears.

I should clarify: the above child is not mine (I just found him on YouTube). As a grown-up, I've learned to suppress my tantrums, but that's how we (sort of) felt this morning.
Last night my DH and I were describing our emotions surrounding the removal of the TV and that we (only partly-serious) felt like kids on shows like Supernanny and Nanny 911 react when the TV is removed from their rooms, resulting in fits and tantrums.
However, usually by the end of the show, they also show how well-adjusted and happy the children have become, despite not having their TV, so DH and I hope for the best for us.
