The VIA Connected HDTV series also connects online with built-in wireless (802.11n dual-band) or wired networking, with the customized Bluetooth universal remote control with sliding QWERTY keyboard which gives the user a much easier way to navigate the myriad of online services the "XVT" Series offers. The HDTV sets range from 32" all the way up to 55", and offer 1080p 120Hz or 240Hz scenes per second performance. Two models sport TLED and Smart Dimming backlight technology, while all sets include integrated USB video inputs, which makes media playback from external storage a breeze. And the XVT series even has built-in Adobe Flash support, making this a near HTPC device without HTPC.

We're actually quite excited to see a TV manufacturer integrate online features into the living room, making this an excellent gateway device for the family to share online services like Flickr or Facebook (we could see parents liking being able to monitor their kid's social media going-on's on a large living room set) and removing the need for a separate set top device to access these sort of services we've become accustomed to using with our Apple TV. And we certainly hope to see more remote controls with integrated keyboards for online interaction (hear that, Apple and Apple TV?!).
